Alright Autogeeks, with this week in the past I have been very busy detailing and washing cars. After reviewing my washing process and water I use during the day, week, month along with the soap I'm using for all these washes I know a Foam Cannon will cut down on soap I am using.

From what I've read searching through old post about these cannons, I'm no where near set on either the Autogeek Foam Cannon or the MTM Hydro Foam Lance.

- Points have been made they look the same. Although the bodies are slightly different.
- No one (that I've found) has compared their internals.
- There has been NO Head to Head comparsion.

I'm willing to buy both an Autogeek Cannon and the MTM Hydro Cannon and compare them unbiased to all of you.

I will be using my eletric Craftsman 1700PSI Max, 1.3 GPM pressure washer in this review.

Only this is I have yet to completely figure out what I need as adapters...
For the Autogeek I believe I just need the Bosch adapter. Looks closes to my adapter on the nipple and washer and where it twist and looks in the gun. Then, not sure if the brass male nipple connector threads into the Bosch adapter. If someone already with the MTM could also help me find its adapter.

Bosch Pressure Washer Fitting
Heres the Bosch adapter that connects to my pressure washer...

What do you all think, does that look right to you too?

So would you all be interested in a unbiased comparison review of the Autogeek Cannon and the MTM Hydro???

What soap would you all like me to compare with the two guns; I'm think DP Xtreme Foam.

Chris, can't be more right than this, what a generous offer!!! :-)

I was thinking they are same product sold under different brand/rebranding, however, let's find out by your field testing.

let me know which adapter fits because I am currently fishing out a pressure washer set up as well

I have seen on another forum that the MTM foam gun foams better than the regular foam gun.
Right now, I have the regular one and the foam seems to run off within a minute or two.

Doesnt the autogeek one come with a quick connect ?

If that is your electric power washer from the zoom picture on sears site it looks to have a quick connect wand... which is great..

I don't think the bosch fitting will fit with the quick connect..

Yep from the picture enclosed it looks like a quick connect that you pull down a bit no?

if so the MTM should come standard with that .

Ill buy the loser of this competition from you. ;)

Yeah? You got yourself a deal.

The Autogeek cannon comes with a "pressure gun fitting". Which connects to my pressure washer gun.

The photo you link is the quick disconnect to switch out pressure niddles (1%, 5%, 15% spray pattern) which is at the end of the wand, which then connect to the gun/ tigger handle.... This is what I need the Bosch (I believe thats the right fitting).

I read over the MTM but I don't know if its pressure gun fitting will fit my gun/trigger either.

Here (below) is the quick disconnect wand that has the quick release spray head at the end of it (photo you posted).

Here (below) is the part I need to order with the foam cannons. This inserts into the gun of the pressure washer.

Here (below) is what I'm talking about in general about the wand inserting into the pressure washer gun (on right side of photo). **replace K with photo above item F.

^^^^This was suppose to be the third picture down from the above thread.

I haven't run the test yet. I'm waiting for the summer warmth to roll around again. I really do want to know which one is better.

Although I don't know if Autogeek will allow me to post an unbiased review of their product and a competitors foam lance.

I would never buy dp foam soap, it's not a very good deal use one of the chemical guys soaps
Mr pink
Honey dew
Wash and gloss or clear
Etc

^ the sticker on the bottle is worth the 50% increase. I use an MTM hydro. The foam lances are the same. If I had a kratcher then I would buy the attachment separately, or get a gas powered pressure washer. I see no reason to pay twice the price to get the same product from AG.

Try using HoneyDew also just because it's supposed to be "made" for a foam cannon. Could be interesting.

I have the MTM Hydro and I find that is doesn't spray the foam very evenly. It basically sprays it really heavy in two locations. at the top of the fan pattern and at the bottom. The middle of the fan spray pattern has like 20% of the foam coming from it. The top and bottom of the fan pattern make a ton of foam. I feel like I dont get easy coverage because of this . I thought their might be something wrong with my MTM gun, but I watched some youtube video's and saw that they all spray in a pattern that is not uniform.

The vid's of the Autogeek foam cannon look to show that it has a better spray pattern when foaming.

Has anyone else noticed what i'm talking about ? regarding the MTM foam gun not laying down foam very evenly out of the trigger ?

I would be interested in seeing a difference in pattern since i'm in the market for a foam cannon. It's hard to justify paying twice the price if pattern consistency is the only difference. Will somebody please discuss the difference in connectors supplied with each as well as the bottle (thickness/quality of plastic, does it leak if tipped)

Not to be a debbie-downer to AG & all, but you can get the MTM Foam cannon for 59.99 shipped at another place (Which I just bought last night :D) I won't post here out of respect to the forum rules, but if you would like to know PM ME.
