I am thinking of getting the foam gun. Will I get the same thing I see in the pictures and reviews if I use my Ultima wash and Meguiars gold class in the foam gun?
 
I have one of the gilmore ones..that connect to the hose..not an air compressor or power washer type..and I have used mothers and rainx wash in it..and it foams up just as much as I seen on any of the pics..it makes a good bit of foam on 4oz/gal setting
 
I have used my foam gun for several years. I have found Poorboys, Optimum, Duragloss, Zaino, and DP all foam as desired. Most car washing is more about lubrication, but man the foam looks rather cool !

and is just what the name implies. Try it. You will not be disappointed.
 
upgrade to foam lance instead of foam gun. And yes, you will need a pressure washer too. But then you will be producing "shaving cream" foam through it.

I want to, but seriously, I have issues paying over 100$ for that. I understand profit margins, but the one on the pressure washer one seems a tad ridiculous for me.

I agree the model for a pressure washer is kinda high. I don't use my foam gun very much either. I use it when the vehicleis coated in a thick coat of salt or from winter road treatment and after riding in rainy weather when there is a thick coat of grime. Otherwise, my truck is only lightly coated in dirt and cannot see using it every wash. I don't use a pressure washer on my paint much. I usually use a PW on fender wells and undercarriage when extremely dirty. :buffing:
