Foam Pad Size for Meguiar's W67DA Backing Plate?

Hi Everyone,

I plan to purchase a Griot's 6" and the Meguiar's Microfiber Correcting System Pad kit to do a quick polish on my car before I seal and wax it. The kit comes with 2 MF cutting and 2 MF finishing pads and a W67DA 5" backing plate. I would like to get a couple foam finishing pads to use when applying the sealant and wax, but I am confused about what foam pads will work the W67DA backing plate. My car has a lot of curves, so I would like to use the 5" BP instead of the 6.5" Griot's BP the GG6 comes with.

Which pads & what size would be best for the W67DA BP?
I was looking at the Meguiar's DFF5 5" finishing pad, but I think 5.5" might be the more appropriate size. If I use a non-Meguiar's pad, will there be an issues between the hook and loop?

Either a 5" or 5.5" pad will fit that backing plate. By the way the Meguiar's foam discs are nice pads. You will not have any issues using any either pads with it.

if you want to stick with megs, these pads are the ones you want to apply your LSP. otherwise, the lake country 5.5" thinpro and/or GG 5.5" BOSS pads will work as well. you shouldn't have any problems with that backing plate with other companies pads...

take in consideration on getting a smaller DA backing plate and pads for the smaller (pillars, etc,) areas as well.. btw, you're gonna love the GG6! :xyxthumbs:

Thanks for the replies! I am still sorting through which products to get, but it is great to know the Meguiar's backing plate will work with other pads!
