For all you Corvette fans...

I'm not a big Corvette fan myself....:D

Some of LMR's packages:
“Street Stalker” C6/475hp $3,499 Z06/560hp $3,499
“Slayer” C6/550hp $6,999 Z06/630hp $8,999
“Reaper” C6/600hp $9,999 Z06/700hp $12,999
“Punisher” 750+hp $24,999
All Prices include Installation and Tuning

These prices on top of your supplied vehicle.

I spent a total of less than half of what a ZR1 costs and have about 100 more HP on mine. It may not look exactly like a ZR1, especially with the top panel removed, however the extra cash saved is a nice bonus to be used elsewhere.

:)

Yeah, Bob... do not be shy about this, you peaked my interest. Any vids or pics of your "lady's" engine bay, spec list?

Furthermore the craziest thing I liked about that zr1 is the lift of those cams .675 holy crap can you say open up and say awww?!?! Also it says something about the exhaust, without looking at the specs, does it have a butterfly valve that just "dumps" the exhaust?

I love the fact that the transmissions are in the rear of these cars.
I think they did this to keep the weight evenly distributed. You could see it in the video at :40.

Looks like a regular stock Corvette....But when I start it up, it's quite loud...much louder w/supercharger spooling-up)
Ever hear a hawk swooping down to catch its prey....

those that don't like Vettes, have never truly driven a Vette. Best part, even with the high Corvette tax, most owners customize the cars in different ways.

Oh my! I think I just shorted out the laptop from the drool. I love the sleeper setup. That is a wicked clean install and engine bay. Kudos!!!

That is absolutely AWESOME!!

I feel the need for speed.....:props:

arrgghh you guys are making my craving for a vette worse with all this talk lol.

Here is my issue with corvettes, and before I go into it PLEASE do not take this as me knocking on anyones rides or being disrespectful or anything like that. I am a car guy through and through, I love all types, styles, whatever. I can appreciate everyones taste even if it is not my own.

With that being said, GM has a tendency to use less then stellar interior plastic. Unfortunately other car manufacturers are following suit as many cars right now do not have the best quality plastics, but GM is notorious for that. So the inside of the car kind of ruins it for me. Lets go to the engine, its still a pushrod v8... really? I know... I know the engine block design, water jackets, sleeves, bearings, heads, intake manifolds, all that jazz has changed but why still use an archaic design? Furthermore for the displacement of the dang thing it sure does not get a whole lot of power out of it, although unfortunately, until lately that seemed to be the theme of American V8's since the muscle car era faded. I am assuming the low power of some of these v8s attests to higher EPA standards and car companies not wanting to spend the money to reinvest in newer technology of engine design to be able to bring the power ratings up. I do have to give GM credit, they have an independent rear suspension and it works. It took Ford quiet a while to get that down but the corvette has always done well with minimal effects.

Its a 2-seat sports car that is cramped and if you have the zo6 or zr1 suspension probably (speculation only please no flaming on this) feels like its completely solid and rock hard, more then likely insurance is not your friend, and its performance is very good but I would not say impressive by any means by a quick glance at the spec sheet of the car, especially for such a purpose-built car. I understand this is a toy and some of the previously mentioned things are of no matter, that its the enjoyment of driving the car, the thrill it provides and the excitement that it exuberates as you press that gas pedal down. So again, I can appreciate why people like these cars, I can appreciate the enjoyment they provide. However, with my money, I would spend it on a different type of vehicle.

I do not want to sound like a fanboy of a different type of car so I will leave my thought of a nice "toy" out of the discussion. After my long winded response I will say this once more... I think the corvette is a nice vehicle, however its just not my cup of tea. Certain things about it kind of bug me that would take it out of contention if I ever came into money to allow myself to be able to afford a "toy".

Taht is one SWEET ride, doesn't matter if your'e a Corvette fan or not, thet is NICE!

Amazing car; but I could swear I saw some swirls.... ;-)
