They think it's going to compete with a 911 Dakar, problem is 2 fold, #1...Porsche and #2, Dakar history, Ford trying to undercut Porsche on price...."Porsche...there is NO substitute"

Think I'll pass on this lol. Even though it's 2 years old, something like this might be even more popular nowadays. So many of the car manufacturers are making "off-roady" versions of popular SUV's and whatever they call the mini-SUV's.
 
That was written two years ago and not a peep in the automotive world since. My feeling is we'll never see it. On the other hand, Porsche and Lamborghini have done it, so why not Ford? They have the Mach-E Rally already.

From a practical standpoint, the way our roads are crumbling, something like this is becoming a lot more appealing. My only fear would be stuffing those larger wheels on it will make the turning radius massive
 
I love all these 4x4 car mods that look to have Zero suspension travel. Some even look to have worse travel then stock cars. :/
