Can anyone inform the new member where he can find info on posting links to other sites, especially to other retail sites ?

I don't know if you are the "new member" who joined in 2007, but this is the rules page: Auto Geek Online Auto Detailing Forum - FAQ: vBulletin FAQ

And this is the relevant paragraph:

Autogeek.net is a private closed forum, for the discussion of products that are vendors of Autogeek.net only. This is a private forum and open links to other companies that are not associated with Autogeek.net will be deleted and will result in a permanent ban. No commercial, personal, or any other type of sale that is not associated with Autogeek.net is permitted. Moderators have the right to edit any posts that contain links or other information pertaining to competing companies that are not associated with Autogeek.net.

In my list of articles, there's a entire section on how to "do things" on discussion forums,

Like this one,

What to do when you see a problem on the forum

ANYTIME you see someone causing a problem,

don't interact with them on the forum

Instead, click on the Report Post button

That way a record is created and sent to all Moderators and Administrators and you stay out of the fray.

Thank you...
