I find....that even after a cleaning and maybe 2-3 medium-short drive sessions....and hands are not filthy.....the steering wheel may take on a satin shine where the hand placement is.

I do use a Interior Cleaner on the steering wheel and more often will also clean the DS side - especially the outer bolster and center arm-rest.

I don't want to be in habitual -seat conditioner-, but if a cleaner is strong enough to remove surface oil, it also tends in -my mind- that I need to add back what May have removed from the seats.....so here I am, maybe, conditioning the seats and center arm rest post wipedown.

So tell me fellow 'geekers, what is your process on these surfaces.
Just cleaning and no post conditioning ?

IMO if you cleaned it with an interior cleaner several times, you don't need but a damp cloth with plain H2O. If you feel water is not getting it clean use a super diluted cleaner.

Even after a matte clean wheel, 3-5 drive sessions, let's say 200 miles of hands on the steering wheel, H20 wipes are not cutting it. However....a quick spritz and wipe with Interior does.

I used to be primarily about H20 wipedowns and somehow, I've been consumed on not letting any shine develop....

That’s why they make 3-1 leather products that clean, condition, & protect. You should try one.
I like Blackfire Leather Complete, Meguiars Gold Class 3-1.
