Hello all, I am new to the business side of detailing and have been trying to learn as much as I can about marketing my business. I've recently discovered funnel type marketing and it sounds like it could work great to help people find me online. Is this a worthwhile venture to help me market my business? Has anyone else done this successfully with auto detailing?

I work at an auto parts store so a lot of my customers have been gained from there. Most others are friends and I've had a couple word of mouth customers. I have went to a couple tire shops and an auto parts store to leave cards, I also handed out cards to a couple neighbors that "know" people but I haven't heard anything from these avenues. I have a Facebook page and a website that I would like to optimize for this funnel type marketing. I started to pursue detailing as a business late last year and got my website up the 1st of January. I started to do this as side work and am trying to turn it into a part-time business that may eventually grow into a full time business for me.

Funnel marketing isn't really a type of marketing channel. It's usually referred to as "funneling traffic through your funnel to convert". It just means the path one takes to turn from someone needing detailing services>finding your website>giving you a call>booking an appointment.

So you'll need to focus on things like search engine optimization (seo), Instagram, YouTube, etc... Each one of those you'll apply the "funnel concept". Hopefully I made since. Here are blog posts that will help explain in more detail:
