Gasoline removal from carpet????

Anyone every have a request to removel spilled gasoline from carpet?

If so, anything special you did to remove the gas & smell?

Don't use a match, I will remove the gas but it won't look original when you're done.


Seriously, the VOC's or volatile organic compounds are what causes the nasty solvent odor and once the fibers are stained with gas it's going to take time to completely remove them.


Using an extractor with some carpet cleaner will remove a lot of the odors, but probably not 100%


Some odor removers claim to encapsulate the molecules of offending odors and mask them this way, maybe look into this...

How do I find the gasoline spill if I don't use a match to light up the area?Im the MAN
What's the worse that could happen??
