:welcome: To Autogeek Online Bob!!

3M and Meguiar's are 2 of the more recognized names in the industry and their products are proven performers...

I believe that 3M bought Meguiar's some years ago so they're both under the same umbrella now...

I have both the Flex 3401 and a Porter Cable 7424, both first rate machines. Most of the corrections are done with the Flex now and the Porter Cable 7424 does the smaller area and does a gorgeous job at laying down sealants and waxes...

:xyxthumbs: Forgot to mention im using a Dewalt 849 RB at the moment... Feed back please

Today you're working with a rotary polisher and now thinking of adding a dual action polisher to your stable?

Ive never used a dual action before is it going to better to work with, ive been having troubles with holograms being left over at the moment which i gotta work on...

Welcome to the forum,,

Just one question, when you lived down under did the rotory buffer spin in the other direction....just joking.....

We love hearing feedback like this... be sure to take care of the wife, wash and wax her car first, etc..

That's the problem with a rotary buffer, the single direct drive rotating action tends to impart it's own scratch pattern into the paint we all call holograms.

The fastest way to ensure there are no holograms is to use a DA Polisher, like the PC style or the Flex 3401 style for your last machine abrading or polishing step.

By changing the action of the tool you can remove and avoid holograms from showing up later down the road.
