I own a Sea Ray 340 Sundancer with light oxidation. I am buying a Dewalt DWP849XP rotary polisher.

My question is twofold
1) I am wondering whether I'd have better results using Marine31 All-in-one OR using Gel Coat labs one step polish and sealant (assuming one would do better than the other -- maybe it's a toss-up). Since I've not used either product before, I'm hoping someone can recommend the best product

2) I've also read different recommendations regarding whether I should be using a wool pad or whether I should use a Lake Country white polishing pad or even the Lake Country orange cutting pad on the rotary polisher for application of the one step polish mentioned above

Any experienced recommendations on the best combination will be appreciated

I can't really tell you the best combination without working on the boat myself but can tell you that while a rotary and wool works good on boats it is mostly NOT necessary. I correct most of my boats with oxidation with either a mf pad or orange lc pad. Just because you can get super aggressive with gel coat doesn't mean you should. Do test spots, find out what works.

Any any recommendations as to whether the Marine 31 all-in-one or the Gel Coat Labs one steop polish might work better re: light oxidation removal? I've been leaning towards the Marine 31 but would love to know someone's actual experience that's used both products and can give a recommendation based on actual experience.

I've never used marine 31. Have always used automotive products on boats with good results.

any one step like meguires will work. I like Duragloss 561. .the problem is gelcoat likes a lot of aggression and a rotary with wool is the answer. If you are going to use an orbital, use a orange or yellow high abrasion pad and high speed.

I have used FG400 and M105. The gel coat is quite hard. I like Glen's post and would like to try this product out for sure on an oxidized unit. DG makes great stuff at a reasonable price. For my gel coated RV I put on CarPro Hydr02 as an LSP and am pleased with it so far. Will have a better opinion at end of camping season.

I also have not used any of the Marine 31 products so cannot comment on them at this point.
