Hey everyone....so bought this reel to put on my trailer ...right now it's mounted on the fender of the trailer so I can do curbside detail. My question is...and look at my picture...how does this reel accept a hose? I have tried numerous fittings and bought a ton of stuff just don't know how to get it to not kink.

As you can see the hose has a insulated or supported area about 4" long down the hose..this forces the hose to not play well with the reel. The 90degree fitting was already installed see stock photo

Reel: general pump 100'
Hose: bluehawk 50'

Is there any pressure washer repair shops available .The grey hose will put a strain on that wheel, save a headache and get the blue 3/8 hose.I would remount that wheel if you can, winding up hose sideways will be a chore after every car. Those joints and fittings are not cheap.see if a pro can help you with that.

Yea there is the guy is an asshole tho.. Little guys like me can't walk in his shop without spending $2k he's going to tell me I should of bought the Cox reel at $300. Can't do that right now. I was going to buy 1/4 x 100' hose so I can get full use of the reel. But I still don't understand what will happen with that area at the end near the connection....all pressure hoses have that .. Unless I'm not suppose to use my quick connects but...I want to be able to disconnect the hose if not in use

Shop1 I can send pictures of what I did yesterday to mine! I had the same issue and bought a 90 brass fitting pulled the rubber piece off and ground it a little so it would set higher and be able to connect to the 90.

Yeah that would be cool. See I have quick connects on the ends of mine. Maybe that's what's holding me up...still only accounts for 2" still got 5" of coupling guard or whatever you call that on the end.

Here's a couple, mine is connected directly to it! You will have to pull that rubber piece off and shave off some of the metal underneath so the hose fits through and then put it back on there.

I still had an issue when the hose was hooked up without he elbow. I don't see your quick connects being an issue.

you can put 100 ft but expect promblems later on.

Like what I don't see where I would have an issue! But this is my first reel! Now if I do have an issue I don't mind upgrading but as this new set up has tripled my budget I don't foresee a $400 reel in the near future.

That elbow will leak where that shiny lookin flat washer is.That busted many times on me,it's like 80 bucks.I got rid of the grey heavey hose and replaced with 3/8 blue hose a bit pricey but zero leaks.

It actually was leaking right when I got it but I messed with the o ring and seemed to fix the problem or so I hope! $300 isn't to bad, once this goes out I'll look into getting one or maybe after a few details once the season starts up again.

Northern tools has decent stuff.I overpaid a little cause I bought the reel at a pressure washer shop.

I had that reel you have, the first one the handle ripped off .The second one just fell apart the reel separated from the frame,I literally had to put it back in place to reel hose in.
