a lot of ways you can go about this.. steaming everything would be apart of the process. But without an ozone/DrivPur system, i dont think you'll get the smoke out 100%

others will chime in

Clean the interior as well as you can, run an ozone machine in it overnight and then put an odor bomb in it. Should take care of the smell.

I had this problem with a jaguar I had. First thing though replace the cabin filter. It's very easy to do it's behind the glove box door. While you have the cabin filter out start the car, turn the a/c on max and press the button that has a car on it with aarows going in circles on it. Spray Lysol into the space that the cabin filter went. Just quick sprays. The goal is to get the Lysol sucked into the vent and avoid saturating the motor. After spraying, leave the air on and close the doors for 10 min. After 10 min shut the car off and put the filter back in. That part is done.

After that you will have to steam clean EVERYTHING.

There may be better products out there that will be better then Lysol but it's what I did and it worked for me. After I was done u could never tell any one smoked in the car.

These have worked great for me and you want to change the cabin filter also.

Do y'all think I can't get away without using a ozone machine how much do they even cost?? Because I am already dropping $800 dollars in the vx5000? And first time steamer how would I do cloth seats and other areas

Go to your local janitoral supply place, I'm sure they have smoke odor removal spray. I've done it several times and worked for me! That will be your cheapest and fasted way.

I once read that putting a can of Red Bull helps to remove the smell.
Well I tried it, drank half of it then put the can in the customers car over night, don't you know it worked, really helped , not sure for how long but the customer asked what I sprayed in his interior, he laughed when I told him what I did and said he'll do it from time to time.

Detailed a car with an absolutely overpowering pot smell inside. Steaming EVERYTHING did the trick for us. If its a long-time smoker it may not come out the first time. Cant stand cigarette smell....

Ahhh I miss read your statement. I thought you were saying you could get a VX-5000 for $69.

I wish!

Those folk are very proud of their machine. I've never heard of it being discounted. Even buying 10 @ a time, - NO DEAL!
