GG 3.5 backing plate?

I'm a noob and I will get my first DA polisher. Does anyone know if I could put a 3.5 backing plate on a 6 inch GG Polisher?

Yes, I use the LC 3.5" BP with 4" LC or B&S Pads.

Yes, 5/16" thread which is pretty much standard on all DA polishers.

:iagree: I have the 6", 5" & 3" for GG6. A one trick pony for now
until I pick up a Flex & maybe a Rupes too. Good times.:buffing:

With a standard DA such as the GG machines, Meguiar's machines, Porter Cable, Harbor Freight, etc you can mount any standard DA backing plate to either machine. These machines all utilize a 5/16 thread making these plates all interchangeable between each other.
