Yesterday I applied Collinite 845 to my black Mustang. I applied so thin that I had to look at an angle to make sure it was even on there. Super thin! Today I went out and it looked as if I had not completely wiped off the residue. I wiped a section and it came back a few hours later. I then applied a Megs D156 and it appears to have removed the ghosting. I will know for sure tomorrow.

I have researched here and see that this ghosting on black is not uncommon, even with 845. Any suggestions? Are some waxes more prone to ghosting?

A few years back when I was using Klasse SG I would remove it with Megs D156 for easier removal. Should I plan on doing this on my Mustang or any recommendations for waxes known for not ghosting? I really like 845 but If I need to change I will. Thanks.

I have noticed that on my black car when I used it.
It only happened in spring and fall when parked outside which I believe was from the temperature change overnight into daylight.

I just let it happen and didn't bother worrying after the first time. It totally disappeared after the first wash.
The D156 trick is something I vaguely remember trying.
I did have the same problem with WG DGPS.

It should go away with the first wash as mentioned, or with the spray wax. I’ve had similar things happen with other LSP’s, Meguiars NXT 1.0 if I recall correctly. Black paint just makes it easier to see.
