I would love an answer to that too! $59 a bottle is not in my budget as of now!!

aquapel does do an amazing job, but im needing something for mass usage when im detailing for business, and the opti glass is to expensive for that small of quantity

Ahh I see

about how many windshields will the 100ml bottle do?

has anyone tried griots sealer

I have. I like Griots products, but this one is a no-go. Hassle to remove, lacks durability compared to cheaper alternatives like Rain X. I had high hopes for this product, but I was let down.

I have it and use it. My experience is it's awesome and basically lasts forever. I really don't use wipers - so I can't comment on how wipers affect it. However it seems unaffected by snow and salt and beads and sheets water quite well.

There is a trick to applying it though. The best way I have found is to use a C Quartz applicator block wrapped in a blue shop towel. You only need a few drops (like a coating). Then go crisscross in your application patterns. If you apply it with a big piece of foam it will be a nightmare to buff off the glass.

Hmm yeah I see a big problem telling a customer "not to use their wipers". I dont see how much of a difference it would make applying via foam vs a shop towel. I even tried applying with an MF towel. Of course, very thin apps. Aquapel blows this out of the water, IMO the fact that you dont use wipers is contributing to its extended durability.

I have but it was their paint sealant.
I appied it to my windshield though with great protection.
Last 2-3 months depending on how often I use my wipers.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using AG Online

what about coatings? or does it have to be a "glass sealant?" I have great results with DP glass coating...

Try a sealant like BF Crystal Seal. I use this on my personal cars glass and works well and doesnt smear or streak when I have to use mt wipers.

I like the Detailer's Glass Coating, 2 good coats on the windshield has lasted me since late August. I don't use the windshield wipers much at all.

I use Pinnacle GlassCoat Window Sealant with Rain Repellent on the windshield. While I think it is a decent product it is not that much better than RainX for the money. On the other windows I use Wolfgang Deep Gloss Liquid Seal, which I got as part of a kit. It is also a good product but on glass I'm not sure it is worth the money. On the paint it's great!

On that note, I read somewhere that Pinnacle was supposed to be very similar if not the same as Griots Glass Sealant.
