Hey all, i was just wondering what ceramic coating you guys recommend for interior trim. Looking for something with a little bling bling. I currently have a few different coatings but none are explicitly for use on trim.

I have optimum gloss coat, optimum optilens, and gyeon leather shield. Rather than just going and spreading all 3 out of my dash and comparing the gloss, i figured id see what everyone else is using.

Im working with dark charcoal interior trim and have been pretty happy with the gloss i get from megs hyper dressing, however the dust accumulation is rather annoying and im pretty sure hyper doesnt offer much protection from UV.

Also, everytime it rains i end up with streaks all down my door panel from the water and have to reapply the dressing.

Seems like a coating would be all around better suited for what i need. So drop your recommendations! Thanks!

None are going to give gloss. Interior coating will darken at best.

Here are a couple photos of me testing a few on my dash. Cquartz 2.0 looks even better than the previous version.

Well bummer about the gloss. Cquartz 2.0 looks pretty good though. Might give that a try and experiment with some toppers.

I had my entire dash coated at one point and it held up really well. It didn’t attract dust.

If you top it you will be back where you started with dusting. My advice would be to just wipe it clean weekly with an interior detailer.

Also no streaking from rain.

I'm curious as these are leather coatings. Did you apply any of these to the seats?

These leather coatings I linked in the reviews offer UV protection if UV is a concern. A majority of modern day glass blocks out UV. If you like to use 303 or an interior detailer then keep using it. It all comes down to personal preference.

I will mention that if ones dash needs to be hydrated then it will absorb the coating so be prepared to apply multiple coats if that’s the case. It may be best to stick with a product like Gyeon Preserve.

The best coating that I’ve used for the interior is by far Pinnacle Black Label Leather & Vinyl Coating!! It leave a nice rich sheen on the interior!! I would say it lasts for a least 6 months!!

Another good performer is Wolfgang Cockpit Trim Sealant

Lasts a good long time and has excellent UV protection, plus you can dial in the level of "shine", from matte to glossy, via how many applications/layers you make.

As for maintenance, all I do is wipe down the surfaces with MF's moistened with distilled H20.

WG products are 30% off @AG right now too.

Second this product. I don’t feel like it’s an actual coating but definitely substantial and it’s just make the dash look new with a tint of sheen.

Looks very good. I apply every 6 months with 303 on top at about 3 months
