So today i went to wash my car and decided to use Chemical guys' Glossworkz soap. According to them it leaves a superior shine after using it. I diluted it, 1oz to two gallons and went to work. Here are the results after drying

keep in mind one thing after seeing this pics guys. this car has absolutely NO wax or sealant. these are the results from the pure soap alone, i didnt use no quick detailer either. just soap and water and dry. that is all! it leaves quite a shine if you ask me. i say Glossworkz does work! :dblthumb2:

Oscar,

It's so clean it's invisible!!

Looks great!:props: I've had similar experiences with the WG soap on an unwaxed car.

Does the soap have any wax/sealant in it, Like the Meg's Wash& Wax?

Not that i know of. Im sure it does have a sort of wax or something similiar because i doubt pure soap alone would leave results like that!

I just started using it. It's amazing stuff and my new go to shampoo (if I'm not using ONR). I put Opti Coat on and now all I do is wash with Glossworkz. Nothing more. CG have always made great car washes. This new product is another home run.

Maybe the oils that gives the soap it slick effects? You know, the "lubricants" as they are often called?:dunno:

I went through a entire 16oz bottle last summer. It is a nice soap when used with warm water and at the correct dilution. It did leave a slight gloss afterwards but not quite what I was expecting. As a shampoo IMO it is as little overpriced, to each his own.

I like this soap as well. Not the best if your car is pretty dirty as I find I have to scrub spots more then I like, but great for normal washing.

You are correct. Its a soap for a regular wash. I do have to admit that it dosent have the best cleaning abilities. But its a great regular maintance soap.

I was able to test this shampoo out as part of a recent product trade and overall it is a high-quality soap (definitely upper-tier in terms of performance). As others have mentioned, it has very high lubricity, great post-clean shine/gloss, and is better for "maintained" cars as its cleaning power is on the gentle side.

With that said, I will probably stick with PB SSS or DG 901 as my go-to shampoos mainly because of cost and my personal routine. Glossworkz has a somewhat high cost per use (was around $50 a gallon in January but its price is all over the map). In addition, I always use a spray detailer/wax after drying to help remove missed water spots - this extra step (routine for me) effectively nullifies the shine/gloss advantage of Glossworkz.

If you don't have the time to both wash and wax (or if you have a coating such as Opti Coat, hence not requiring anything more than a wash), then it really is a product that serves a purpose. Between Glossworkz and Opti Coat...my car looks like I spent all weekend on it, so its a nice combination at the price of a wash.

Any gloss enhancing wash is not worth it if you are going to apply a spray wax or detail gloss enhancer after every wash. That's not the market this product was intended.

My thoughts exactly. Well stated.
