Hey guys, I've got a fun one here! For about the last 7 months I've been taking up horseback riding lessons and its been great! I have SO much appreciation for experienced riders as its way more complex than I ever thought it was...but its so much fun! Anyway, the owner of the barn had seen some of my work and wanted to know if I could do anything for her truck. Her father did detailing, so she could really appreciate the hard work that I would put into her truck.

So what was on the roster for this detail? Quite a lot after we looked it over together!

*Removal of rear window applique
*Removal or old antenna on rear glass
*Restore rear lights by sanding, compounding, polishing, and re-sealing
*Remove old "hands-free" phone system/charging dock from dash
*Replace burned out fog light
*Replace drivers side fog light assembly/housing with new unit
*Removal of "SIERRA" and "GMC" emblems on tailgate
*Removal of "GMC2500HD" emblems on doors
*Relocation of "DURAMAX DIESEL" emblems on doors
*Touch up paint chips

All of that in addition to an extensive paint decontamination and paint correction! The replacement fog light assembly was provided by Abel Chevrolet where Rich set me up with a good price. Unfortunately I could not get to the bolts inside the bumper to install it, so it would be put in at a later date. After 28 hours, approximately 90% correction was achieved. Since this is a work truck, a full correction was not desired, nor did it make sense. This truck hauls horses and hay afterall... ;)

Here are pictures after having the truck dropped off....

After a very lengthy and thorough wash, it was time to decontaminate the paint to make claying much easier. Carpro IronX was used. The chemical sprays on clear and turns purple when it hits iron deposits buried in the paint and begins to dissolve them and opens the pores in the clear to safely remove them completely.

A full life at the barn had left the paint severely contaminated.

Thanks for looking!

What a turn around. I really appreciate the work you put into getting the wheel well liners to look like new. So many people just spray them out and done.
And I know how difficult it is to get all the "stickers" off that are put on body side panels, tailgates, and rear windows.
Plus you got very nice reflections off of a white finish. Not the easiest paint color to perfect.

Now relax and Have A Merry Christmas.

nice turnaround, what did you use to get the stickers/logo off the truck?

that truck is damn glossy for white, clear coat white is so much easier to get a high gloss to it vs single stage. looks really good for a work truck. to me a clean work truck really shows a client you care for the details
to 604snooze best way to remove the emblems without risk of breaking emblem is use heavy test fishing twine or some windshield removal wire, or you can use heat but still risk breaking the emblem. then to remove glue you can use an eraser wheel or some pure d-limonene.

DANG BRO! that is one sexy looking "new" truck!

Great turn around OP! What was your process for the tail lights?

Could you please tell me what productss were used. I have a white 2010 dodge ram and want my truck to look that amazing. Thanks Mike

That thing was swirl city and it's white. I could only imagine what it'd look like if black.

Great job as always!

Yeah there was too much dirt to just "spray and grease it up". That shortcut s*** isn't my style. Had to be done right!

Thanks so much!

Thanks!
A lot of Stoner's Tarminator, 1000w halogens, and plastic razor blade.

Thanks! Where can you get heavy fishing line? No fishing stores near me that I know of....

Thanks! I actually got asked if it was a 2011 on my way to deliver it to the client!

Great turn around OP! What was your process for the tail lights?

Thanks! DA wetsanded with Trizac 1500 then 3000. Compounded with LC PFW M105 then LC orange D300 and LC white M205.

Correction was on Surbuff pads on the GG DA with M105/D300. Final polishing with M205 on LC tangerine. LSP was D301.

woo! Beautiful turnaround. What did you use in the wheel wells?

Wow that truck looked horrible before you got it. Great job really turning that truck around.
