I have way too many towels but lately, I've just settled into a heavy rotation with these 3 for my -almost weekly washes-

PMF for drying
TRC suedes for glass
500GSM are pretty much my go to for almost alot of things

Was just sorting some stuff. Picked up a pack of Kirkland for the BS use...and got me thinking about all things MF
The Kirklands seems to be an ever so slightly more GSM on the nappy side of their MF.

Do you guys go through your whole stash of towels.... ?

I have sooo many. My MFM has turned into lint monsters.
Before PFM existed, I have these uber large Eagles that I used for drying
Before the large PFM existed, I had the regular size. ....

Thankfully I have hit a plateau with trying newthings

EE edgeless 500/350’s for rinseless/waterless.

PFM to dry but will be trying the gauntlet because the 15x24 size interest me. All the twisted loop MF drying towels I have tried have been good.

The TRC 300/AG Forrest Green for polish/LSP removal.

TRC Everest for final buff.

Kirklands for dirty jobs and throw aways

My towel collection, like many I assume, has evolved a lot of the years. However, I would say that five years ago my collection would have been more varied than it is now, mainly because I sort of know what I like for each task now.

In the last couple of months, I have also been eliminating odd bods and creating some unity, some donated to friends, some to the kitchen and some into the rag pile.

In the process, I have been stocking up on certain towels to make a decent set for each use case.

So this is where I am sitting at the moment -

Wash Pads -
TRC Cyclone Bone x2
TRC Cyclone 10X10 x2
TRC Cyclone x2

Recently got turned onto Trc gauntlet towels...an amazing towel. 15x25 size is perfect size for me.

The Gauntlet is one of my absolute favorites.

As you can see, I have a lot of repetition with towels, color differentiating them for uses.

The Gauntlet sees use in two categories, I just love how easy they are to work with, especially the little one for wheels.

The Car Wash Towel I have found to be very durable and is such a great size for detailing interiors, engine bays and general cleaning.

The Creature I love for it's softness and versatility. I like how the short side is good for cutting through that initial wipe of polish or wax, and the plush side is great for final wipes or drying. I have this towel doing three roles.

The Dry Me A River is brilliant for glass, they are also very durable.

You have me thinking about trying the small at some point for wheels, although i can usually get away with just just the blower on them to dry.

The creature towels have the same blend as my 3d towels i use for handwashing/rinseless. But creatures are 20gsm more. I really like the 3d ones, plan on getting different color for removing abrasives. Those creatures are way more expensive lol

The small Gauntlet's are brilliant on wheels, small so that they don't drag along the ground. I too mostly dry wheels with the blower, I just like to give them a wipe over toward the end of the detail with some QD or Drying Aid..........probably an unnecessary step but one I love doing.

A throwback towel but one that semi contends with the Avalanch.
Eon's ago, before TRC was a thing, Prima (detailers something), forgot the name made a double stitched 700+ towel in white.

I see you guys are similar in MF brands....TRC.
Only ting in my lineup that I don't mainly use in TRC is the PFM drying

Also love the Gauntlets. I use the med. size. Also, PFM'S are hard to beat. Picked up several of each last order.

Count me as really chuffed with the gauntlets. Added one on a whim to an order and was so impressed I order several more.

I think the Cobra Chinchillas are VERY underrated all-purpose towels.

Been a huge PFM fan for a long time....still am....but tried the Gauntlet and was pleasantly surprised. Found it worked better after a couple of washings

I get mine from TLD- they are about $6 apiece and used for final wipe down after initial polish removal is done. The rest are about 300-350 GSM for inital polish removal

All towels serve a different purpose. My favorites are the Griots PFM for drying, Speed Master Waffle Weave and Griots Crinkle for glass, Rag Company Eagle Edgeless for applying spray on wipe off products, and Griots PFM dual weave wax removal towels.

PFM’s are awesome towels. TRC has great towels also (I have thousands) Lately, I’ve gotten into KLIN towels which are PHENOMENAL!

Yeah, but what do you know about MF towels??:laughing::cheers:

Those crinkles are slept on. Best glass towel I’ve used. Only complaint is that you have to completely refold or use two to do glass. Wish they woulda just made it flat 10x10.
