Good, aggressive metal polish?

I just got back my 1965 Chevelle from the shop where it sat out and collected a lot of dirt. Now, it's still all in primer but the wheels are nice and need some help. I bought these brand new, but all that time at the shop got them dirty and starting to tarnish a bit.

Here's the wheel before I did anything other than just rinse and clean with DP Gel Wheel Cleaner and a brush:

Here's after I used a Mother's Power Ball and Power Aluminum Polish, with a follow up of Mother's Aluminum and Mag Polish by hand.

They aren't as clean as I would like them to be, and I can still see some pitting or dirt on them. What would be a good, aggressive metal polish to try on these to really make them shine? I will most likely have to do most of this by hand because of the shape of the rims, so the more bang for all the rubbing I will have to do, the better!

I have had good results with wenol polishes. I also have p21s polishing soap. i will use that today and let you know how it works.
 
i use the p21s polishing soap for wheels that have been a little neglected as a pre-polish.. Does a great job of knocking the biggest part of the tarnish/oxidation/anything else thats on the wheels, but doesn't have anywhere near the bling of an actual polish.. Basically just a timesaver because its faster than trying to cut through all that crud with something else..

I haven't tried any of the boutique metal polishes, so I can't comment on them. My current favorite that I can get locally is from Busch, but it may not be as good as the boutique stuff.
 
I am so jealous ... a work in progress. I would love to restore a muscle car.
