Doing a thank you for yourhelp detail job for my brother in law . He recently just took care of 02 Avalanche that had vandilized had to fix for panels & 2 Tires. On top that they notice someone had hit my front bumper and stuffed it under my headlights even though you couldn't tell cause the clading was fine. They got 2 more tires for nothing to matching set of 4. He had my truck Detailed thinking he was doing me a favor. I ended up with swirls on my hood other than that the truck alright except they put super slimey crap on the tires. I wasn't upset he was tring to be nice, just fixed myself. I told him I would detail his 04 GMC Seirra 1500 for free to show him how much I appreciated his help and what I consider clean. It was in alright condition just needed some TLC. Washed, Clayed,Cleaned wheels and sealed, shampooed and cleaned interior to like new condition, Cleaned glass & Polished &aquapeld exterior glass. 2 stepped the paint mez 203 then mez 106fa nano and 2 coats Colinite 915 . Started @ noon timed finished @ 6:30. Called him to come P/u when I when to move the truck I noticed put a hand print on the glass . NO big deal go in garage the grab my spray & micro spray Window & mirror wipe down the MF realized they hand print was on they interior spray the window (Insert big mistake here) . This is when I notice the smell. I had just sprayed both sides with my ALL SEASON DRESSING. I've got every bootle labeled on 2 side but just grab by mistake cause hung on the wrong sides & I was tired it was dark out and the bottles Identical. Well 25 mins a rollpaper towels & 4 mf & 4 coats I had it crystal clear again.DON'TLET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU

OMG! When I saw All Season Dressing I was thinking OH NOOO!!!

It's not like if you accidentally sprayed APC on the window, no biggy (unless it dribbled onto the door panel and removed any dressing on there).

But good to see you got it clean again.

Worst thing, I can imagine myself doing that!- Come home to get something I forgot, windows are dirty so take a lil time to make them look clean again before I go back to wherever I was and spray the wrong thing!.....I reckon I would be so annoyed haha.

What glass cleaner did you use to remove it? I see you said it took 25 mins. What technique did you use to remove it? Spray/ wipe or spray let it dwell and then wipe, then clean again and again...or?

Now That Makes Me Feel Better!!!!

At work we have tire dressing in a 50 gal drum, I filled up an empty 1 gal windshield bottle I had and took it home, ( I like to wash my company truck at home ) Well a few weeks later my wife asked my to refill her washer fluid, And being in a rush I grabbed the wrong bottle:doh: I should have noticed when I was pouring it in that it was a little thick???

In a few days my wife was complaing that her windshield and back glass ( minivan ) was not getting clean, in fact more dirt and dust was sticking to it.:dunno:

When I realized what I did I had a big mess to clean up!!
Had to remove inner fender well and remove washer tank, drain it, wash it out with gas, flush the line's with gas. ( gas was the only thing that would cut the tire dressing ) Rewash and re wax truck..

Morale to the story......Slow down and take your time, less likely to screw up...

Those silly mistakes were at least able to be fixed. It happens, at the time they can really get you fired up, but always fun when you look back.

ON the outside used straight Windex spray let dwell 2 coats & it was gone. The inside was another story because the windows were tint couldn't use the windex cause has ammonia in it . I switch to Surf City Clearly Better one of the best window cleaners I ever used but it just took 4 coats to remove it . The kicker is I switch ASD to Optimium tire gel cause I just like the gel better the sling a whole less that bottle is no longer with use threw it about fifety feet when I realize what I did & snap the sprayer of &it pour out on my lawn OPPS.
