I posted b4 about a water based tire shine.Im just curious to what most of you use.Id like to try some different kinds.Id like it 2 not dry out the rubber and not have a good chance 2 sling all over the car.let me know what you like and reasons y.thanks in advance.

Black Magic Titanium Tire Wet Gel. Easily the deepest, longest-lasting tire shine I have ever seen. No sling, and can be layered for even more shine.

I gotta warn you though, this tire shine may not be for you. I like the super shiny look, but it is too glossy for a lot of people.

Optimum Tire Gel-The best I've found! Not too glossy and it lasts.

I want to try Optimum's and also want to try Duragloss. they have a couple different ones but i think one is silicone based.

Nowadays I am just using the Meg's grape smelling gel and I like it a lot. I apply it with a foam tire pad, then after it sits for 10-15 minutes, I buff it off with a clean MF for a nice new look.

^^ I never used the BM gel you are describing but it sure doesn't sound like a water based dressing like the OP is asking for....

OP: I would HIGHLY recomend Surf City Tire Pro... It is my go to dressing and 99.99% of my customers love it.. The rest like the crisco look that a silicone based dressing provides...

i really like the optinium gel with their air sprayer, but my favorite is the wolfgang tire gel it can be shiny or matte it looks great

The three that I use are:
DP Tire Gel=Gloss
Optimum Tire Shine=Medium
Surf City Tire Pro=Matte
All water based. Even if some feel oily like DP most are H2O now.

I can't speak for the other water based shines, but the Optimum isn't very durable in the rainy months. I loved it throughout the past summer.

I've switched back to megs hot tire shine (not water based) for the winter.

I use Prima Nero ,Z16 or Ultima Tire and trim are my favorite

Poorboy's Bold N Bright would be my choice and it's not limited to tires only, many uses.

Poorboys Bright and Bold here also .... nice and glossy and no sling.

ZEP Brilliance works wonders last long, low gloss, and some shimmer to it

I have been using DP for gloss and OPTI bond for semi or natural look, So many of my cars go to get touched up afterwards I have moved away from all silicone products, I wish Autogeek still carried the Systemone black licorice dressing

Yes the systemone dressing is also a nice one

So alot of these like DP, OPT, PB dont dry out the tires.because thats my main concern.my side walls started 2 crack on my old tires that i used 2 use Meg Hot shine on.

If you are letting it sit over night, I like No Touch spray. Leaves a great, none blingy shine that doesn't sling. If you want to drive it right after you apply it, it only takes a quick wipe of a terry to make it nice and with the time you save on application, you can afford a little extra time to wipe.
