Hey guys,

Looking for a good wheel wax/sealant for my factory F-150 wheels. Aluminum wheels, nothing fancy. It would be nice to have something that would work on any wheel though as I might get some black wheels down the road.

Thanks

Sonax Polymer Net Shield is another great option

I use Sonax wheel cleaner so that may be a good choice as well. Seems like the product description is more for painted surfaces though?

Wow that seems nice if it actually works! Price is good too.

Hydro2 absolutely works! I use it on all my wheels. You can literally use it on the entire car, paint included. People have reported longetivity on paint of 5 months, 3 months is expected. Its so easy to apply on wheels, I do it every couple of months.

Try using IronX before.

Are you guys applying hydro2 with wheel on car and unprotected brake rotor?

I do it on the car, and I spray it on the calipers as well. If any gets on the rotor I havent noticed it has had any effect at all. My guess is it would get burned off extremely quickly.

Well good grief looks like there are endless options...I will have to do some more research

I'm using DP's Wheelcoat on the chrome wheels on my Vette. Most of the brake dust washes off with the hose and the rest come off with just car soap and a gentle brushing with a boars hair brush. Been very please so far. Now I will admit I never let the dust and crude build up like a lot of daily drivers get.

Mine with 2 coats of cquartz uk and top with sonax PNS but nothing beats German brake dust :p

I have Pinnacle Black Label Wheel coating on my wheels and so far it's great. Soap and water removes any brake dust. Definitely go the wheel coating route for ease of maintenance.

I use Collinite 845on my FX4, also use Wolfgang sealant.

I now use DP Wheel Coating.

Last up to one year
A little product goes far
Easy to apply

The options for wheel-Waxes/Sealants does seem endless.

Good thing that we're not faced with the same dilemma,
when it comes to choosing Waxes/Sealants, for car paint! :D
