Hi everyone, my name is Jessica and, as stated in the title, I'm from Alabama. I have a 1994 Acura Integra LS (2-door). It's milano red, manual, with about 131,000 miles on it. I just had her repainted recently since the red had started to fade to pink (a common problem with Honda's milano red paint). I always did a decent job of caring for the paint, but this time around with a fresh canvas I plan to really pamper it. My body shop experience was not unlike most peoples--the new paint job came with orange peel, swirls, and holograms. I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a Porter Cable 7424XP and learn how to correct those swirls myself.
I've already spent lots of time on this forum and others learning as much as I can before I pick up the polisher. My detailing arsenal (small but growing!) consists of the PC, two 5.5 CCS orange LC pads, 2 6.5 CCS white, 2 6.5 CCS gray/black, 1 6.5 CCS blue, and 2 5.5 red; Meg's SwirlX, Meg's clay bar kit, ONR, OCW, Meg's NXT 2.0, Mother's ## wash, assorted wash mitts and MFs, Invisible Glass, and some Meg's wheel/tire care stuff. I'm thinking of branching out into the XMT line. I don't have much cash I can devote to detailing supplies, but I am a perfectionist and I want the best results I can afford.
I'm really looking forward to being a part of this great community! I'll post some pics of the car later this weekend.
