Which pads are the way to go with the Griot 6" DA machine? The edge 2000 or LC pads?

Only machine I've used is my Flex 3401, but my take is that with the Free floating spindle assembly type DA's you don't want any extra weight for the machine to have to push. A few people had issues with over saturation of the pad (LC pads), the extra weight lead to the pad ceasing to rotate. That said, I would think that by the time you got to the second side of an Edge pad it would be pretty heavy. I'm sure lots of people have used Griot's + Edge with success though. Just my $0.02.

If thats the case which pads?

I use a griot's ROP also. As for the pads i like LC flat pads work grate for me. I also just tried there 6in Kompressor pads and am in love with them! over my hood, quarter panels and other curvy parts they have worked the best out of any other pads i have used. I think they are worth the extra $$$.

My suggestion would be LC, I prefer Flat to CCS and I'm loving my Hydro-Techs!

I currently use 6.5" and 5.5" LC CCS pads, but have been considering the Kompressor pads. I also just bought 6 Surbuf pads, but they're not ideal for a full detail, just correction work as they're a bit too aggressive for finishing work. Not sure how the Edge pads would do. Good luck with your choice though.

As a side note, the 5.5" LC pads are the best in terms of correction power on the Griot's. No question.

I liked the edge pads on my old PC 7424, wondering if anyone has used the edge pads and adapter on the new Griots

Is there an Edge adapter for the GG? If so will someone please put a link in to the part?
Thanks
