I realize that Griot's classifies their orange pads as "polishing" pads, but most (if not all) other orange pads on the market are considered "cutting" pads.

Can someone from AG tell me if the Griot's orange pad is more of a cutting pad or a polishing pad? Which LC pad is it most comparable to?

Thank you in advance!

According to Griot's it's a "polishing" pad, that is a polishing foam formula. I would have to agree as it's not aggressive like the light orange LC foam cutting pads.

Of course, you can still use it with aggressive products and the sum of your components determine the final aggressiveness of the process.

Factors that affect how aggressive or non-aggressive a product is...

:)

Thanks for the fast and informative response Mike. That's exactly what I was looking for.

I too am curious what LC pad is most similar to the Griot's orange one.

Any way to may a determination assuming all things being equal (product, speed, pressure, size of section, arm speed, ect.)?

Thanks in advance.
