So my new GG DA came in today and have to say its much more than I was expecting, simply amazing.

I've been using my Porter Cable XP for a year now and loved it but now I'm in love with GG DA.

The power is amazing, feels good in my hands and takes less time so it will save me time.
My PC isn't for sale but I'll trade up, I'm talking with one member now but the deal hasn't been made.

Anyway this thread isn't about the PC, it's about my new DA:)

Below is a video of me using it along with m205, great combo.

A little extra makes a nice difference...especially in keeping the pad turning.

Dear HateSwirls

I just watched your video and subscribed to your channel.

It sounds like you're thoroughly enjoying your new polisher.

If Griot's can afford to put that kind of power in its $140 polisher, reckon why Rupes puts less in its $400 polisher?

I'm sure there's a reason, but I'm not experienced enough to make an educated guess as to what that reason is.

Thanks for subscribing.

Yes I'm enjoying my new DA, I still can't beleive the power this thing has.
The pad just turns at a good speed no matter how much pressure you add on it.

I'll get a lot of use from it.

From Rupes

Most traditional random orbital DA polishers feature a stroke size of between 4 and 8 millimeters. Rupes Big Foot Random Orbital Polishers feature either a large 15 mm stroke or a humongous 21 mm stroke. This allows them to polish the surface much faster while still retaining the finish and safety of other random orbital DA polisher designs.

I agree.

The rupes is a whole other level than traditional da machines. Griots is the brute force style machine, lots of power. Tons of power.

The rupes is a finely tuned machine with the larger stroke. As meticulous said, the larger stroke makes up for the "lesser" motor power.

Griots is great machine, absolutely. But I'd venture if you get your hands on the rupes or flex even, you'll be amazed.
