my griots da is making some noise and i have some play in the shaft that holds the pad.
has any one else seen this
sounds strange at times and shaft always feels loose.

Mine is doing good, no problems:buffing:....Give Meghan a call about your DA. I think it has a life time warranty.

Or call Griot's customer service. They should be able to give you an answer. I have one and it is working just fine. It does have a life-time warranty.

you can call griots direct if you want to and they will replace it..no problems.

I've had the same problem. It also causes the housing and the pad to get really hot. Ultimatly the threaded shaft and bearing came out on its own so we sent it back to Griots. They took care of it.

It happened to mine. The sleeve bearing is wiped. Call AG or Griots and they will send a replacement. It was painless for me. They will ship a new one and the UPS man will pick up your old one. You just need to pack it!
