Grit Guard Pad Washer

I used the pad washer to polish my Cayman this last weekend. With the pad washer close to the car, I polished a segment and cleaned the pad, polished a segment and cleaned the pad, and continued this way until the job was finished. Cleaning the pad takes about a minute or two; it's very quick and effective. I started each segment with a cleaned pad. I cannot imagine how much time would be involved with removing the pad to clean it after each segment. Even doing two segments and then washing the pad by hand would be much more time-consuming than using the pad washer. I realize there have been some comments about the washer's price, but the purchase "only stings once" and the unit makes the job so much less tedious that the washer is worth every penny to the professionals trying to make a living and the hobbyists who just want to enjoy working on their cars.
 
How do you dry the pad well enough to put it back in service so quickly?

Most of us just use multiple pads (4-6 per step) and "clean on the fly" (takes about 30 seconds) with a towel or pad brush after each section or two then switch to a fresh pad when it gets saturated.

I can't imagine washing a pad after each section.

Yea, that's FAST! I normally use 4-5 pads. I'll use a pad for about 2 sections, wash, spin dry with a rotary, then use another pad. By the time I get back to the first pad it's good.
 
To dry it I spin the pad on speed four on the little dome-shaped plastic piece that comes off the Grit Guard and attaches to the top of the lid. It dries the pad quite nicely.
 
I don't know how MF pads would work on the pad washer as I have only used Lake Country orange, white, and blue standard pads. The user controls the pressure of the pad against the grit guard while in the bucket and on the "dryer" so I do not see why MF pads could not also be cleaned. But again, I am not familiar with the construction of MF pads. A call to Grit Guard would probably answer the question.
