Does the grit guard fit in a typical red home depot bucket?

Yes. Make sure it is a 5 GALLON bucket.

Buy a grit guard first, and then take it with you in store.

I've found buckets that it fits and doesn't fit at both lowe's and home depot.

The grit guards I have wouldn't fit a Home Depot or Lowe's bucket either. I found a bucket at ACE Hardware that worked fine.

Mine fits in an older Lows Bucket but not in a free one I got from NAPA.

My GG fit in all lowes and HD buckets. Even have a white bucket from I don't know where and they fit.



Wonder if there's more variance in the GG than the buckets...

One of my old Home Depot buckets would fit the grit guard but it was a tight fit. I'm currently using the CG 3 Gal buckets and they fit perfectly.
