I've seen a few threads lately of members hit or miss concerning Grit Guards and the Lowes 5 Gal Blue Buckets. My Grit Guards Fit (almost) perfect except just a tiny bit on the loose side which I remedied with a small zip tie. I did some measurements and photoed the buckets stampings on the bottom. If your Grit Guard fits or doesn't fit... to help others please confirm if your Lowes Blue bucket has these same stampings embossed on the bottom.

I use HD buckets and the Grit Guards fit perfettly.

Thanks for going to these lengths of providing information regarding Lowe's buckets and Grit Guards. :props:

-I appreciate the fact that the "bottom-of-the-bucket-picture" shows that it was manufactured in Ohio:

and has a recycling symbol:

Also...I still like the fact that the "Grit Guard-buckets":

-Are 90 mil vs. the 70 mil Lowes buckets
-Allow for the proper-fit for the Grit Guards.
-Have heavy duty reinforced shoulders that will outlast any bucket on the market.
-Doesn't flex when full of 5 gallons of water and picked up by the handle.
-Will outlast Lowes and Home Depot buckets 3 to 1

-There's lots of money spent on: Quality car-care products...
-No need, for me, to slack-off when it comes to: Water-vessels, and their accessories.

No complaints with my home depot buckets. Super strong and don't "flex" at all when they're full of water.
No sense in paying 5 times the price for a plastic bucket that does the same thing. Those dollys do look handy though.
