Gtechniq Wheel Armour Layering

Hello All,

Just got a new BBK powder coated and before it gets installed on the car I plan on ceramic coating it with Gtechniq Wheel Armour. I would like to do 2 layers since it will be easy to do and if I have some product left I may do a 3rd layer even if it may not really add much.

Between layers how long should I wait? Is it something like 1hr or 1 day?

One layer is sufficient. No need to add a 3 layers of it as it there are no added benefits to it other than wasting product.

Pretty much what Guz sad. Read a statement that made sense to me.

Adding another layer doesn’t make 2 (1+1)

Adding another layer makes 1.1. Now you may get more than that but adding 2nd (or 3rd) won’t get you more longevity.

Basically when doing a 2nd layer is your just ensuring total coverage for any missed spots

I agree 2 layers will probably do little but I have product left over so might as well use it on 2 layers before it goes bad.

Just not sure if I should be waiting an hour or a day between the layers.

Gtechniq doesn’t have info on site. I’m assuming that’s because they don’t recommend.

If I was trying to use up with second coat I would wait at least the 2 hour recommendation for CSL before topping.
