In my family that knows how to detail haha...

This weekend i coxed my family into at least washing and waxing all the lineup. I sat and worked on my moms silverado, while my dad was washing my ram, when it came to the wax portion of the silverado i said what the hey ill let him do the hard stuff....i hand him some meguiars nxt and start claying my truck. I come back to see him doing maybe a 1x1 section then globbing more wax on.....so i show him how to put a nice thin layer on....tell him to let it haze for 15 minutes come back and he's got a shop towel trying to take off the wax ! I took over at that point and finished the job up right....

Fast forward to my brother and his firebird.... SAME exact story.....except i didnt have the chance to stop his wax happy ways. The ammount of wax wasted was rediculous....i wasn't too happy even though it was nxt i don't have much stuff laying around right now ( need to restock).

That will end my rant for today, but honestly... Do any of yall out there have a family member like this ? The kind that insist's more if better ?

Oh and we wont even get into the little scruff me and my mom had because i used meguiars instead of her turtle wax!

He he, so true.

Its like that "more is better" stuff is pretty regular, i did that myself in the past, A big thick layer of something, and you buff like a madman after.

I both see and hear that "more is better" once in a while, You also got that pad dropping, when they dropp and pick the pad back up, look around to see if anybody saw them, and then start applying wax again. As if the pad didnt pick up anything and dont scratch if no one saw they dropp it..lol....

Same goes with sponge washing in wash bays (wash, dropp sponge, look, shake sponge and wash again)

My dad thinks TOO MUCH soap is not good. He uses TOO little I think. He also uses the one bucket method. I did however give him a lambswool mitt, well it was gonna be mine also but I have a shmitt now :). I'm trying to wash the cars so he won't have to :D.
