I was going to apply some of my Gyeon Trim to my car's plastic today. I guess I didn't store it in an airtight environment!

(I guess that should remove any doubt as to the silica content!)

Wow that’s a trip. How many times did you get to use it?
This is why I’ve been so hesitant on opening my bottle of McKees Headlight Coating, I’d be upset if I only got to use it once then something like that happened to it. $60 bucks for 1 use ain’t cheap! Lol.

Surprised you left the dropper in there instead of using the original cap. I put the original cap back on mine and over a year it still has not hardened within the bottle.

The dropper is the reason.

I've actually had it since last summer and have used it on a few cars. I usually recap with the original and store in my house in drawer, but for some reason I didn't recap this time.

I found that most of my coatings last well over a year when stored in this manner. Alas, not with this bottle.

Oh well.

I wonder if I can reconstitute it with some petroleum products and then use on some other surface? Hmmm:xyxthumbs:

Ok, I'll admit the thread title was misleading...............

But, that's pretty interesting to see.
