h/light scratches

Can someone tell me, are these scratches,or protector coat breaking down?
It 2005 pontiac grand prix.

Looks like scratches in the clear coat to me, but maybe someone more experienced can chime in. If it is, oxidation may not be too far ahead, though it looks like it's already started.

You might go ahead and pick up a restoration kit that includes sanding the lens down and polishing it back to factory clarity. I like the 3M kit, but any with a household drill attachment should work.

I think you are right,(scratchs in clear coat)

I will get some product next week,and let you know if we are right.
