So on Thursday I was on my way to work and it was slushy and wet... I am always cautious when driving in these conditions but some JERK in a lowered Honda Civic with temp plates came by and cut me off! causing me to blip my brakes at the wrong time hitting a puddle and forcing hydroplaning... I hit the center barrier causing a bunch of damage to my truck worked on it all afternoon on Thursday trying to get it driveable and looking halfway decent again but it still needs a lot more work.... Pics below:

As of Thursday evening just so it can drive at night

All are ok as far as no injuries the JERK kept going and I only cary liability on the truck :(

I had the same happen to me back in February. I finally found out where the person lives and if they don't pay up soon I'm going to lob a brick through their back window

On a positive note, I can't help but imagine the damage your front bumper did to their little car

I didn't hit the little bugger though... had I hit him and not hit my brakes my winch and bumper would have probably killed him... Happy that I didn't do that but I wish I could get uninsured motorist to cover it... insurance sucks!

I work part time for a LR repair shop that I can get most of the parts for my truck from at cost but not all... I need the radiator mount and used that part is $300.00! Each headlight is $200.00! just a bunch of money at this point... :(

I may be buying a 2001 BMW Z3 2.5i that I just detailed from a customer though so the MPG will go up for me and the "class" will to! lol

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. Good luck getting it fixed!

Sorry to hear about that. Always hate to see somebody's baby get dinged.

Bummer about the LR.

Looks like it still is drivable...which reminds me...

Are you going to start moving into the new space on Sunday May 1?

My offer to help clean still stands. In fact, if you come by with your truck we can load up some gear like 17' ladder, ShopVac/blower, step work platform, floor broom, large rolling trash container, floor squeegee, whatever.

Regards,
GEWB

I am not 100% sure what day I will be able to move in to the unit... I will def let you know... I don't think I will be painting right away because I am still booking up from the Groupon....

OK, just let us know!

I wasn't thinking about painting yet - thinking about using a vac/blower to get dust off those joists, pipes, room ceiling, etc. then washing/scrubbing the floor, picking up trash from the previous tennent, etc. (I've done this a couple times before and know how it goes!).

I know... I just am not sure if I will be moving in on 5/1 or not... Hopefully but not positive as of yet...

I seriously dont know whats wrong with those honda kids.... I know what you mean. I was heading to the beach the other day with my girlfriend and some morons in a honda kept honking at me to race and then they fliked me off and started cutting me off bad, as soon as they saw me pick up the phone they just took off.....

I'm a Honda fan and is not the car is the driver.

9 out of 10 kids with hondas do stupid things. During spring break i went to TX2K11 and tell me why all the hondas were reving the engines in the parking lot full of actual sport cars? tell me why a kid with a honda speeding down the parking lot hit a z06 that was parked? if i see a honda with an exhaust, i try to stay away from it! :dblthumb2: never know what they are up to.

Any crazy person with no common sense with a sport car does stupid things. lol I think is far beyond stupid to crash a ferrari, Lambo, Veyron, Vette etc... than a honda lol

You crash a honda is easy to fix you crash a 100K car or more there goes your money.

Hulk Hogan son didn't have a Honda and look what he did lol. Is the adrenaline that gets you pump up when you forget about the rest and just think that you have a nice sport car you enjoy speeding on.

fixing is not the point. last time i checked honda marketed their cars for people to get to point a to point b. i seriously dont know how people came about putting exhaust and intakes of those cars. it dosent really make much improvement if you ask me. plus, id hate to be sitting in my mustang and for some moron with a honda crash into me because he was showing off in a parking lot.

Wow that's pretty bad, glad you're okay. We got some of that rain/snow mix too in Indiana, it sucks. On the other hand, that BMW looks awesome! They're really fun to drive, so hopefully you're happy with it if you get it.

@93fox, I'm a Honda fan as well, and it's definitely the driver, not the car. I know what you're talking about though. There's people who put giant spoilers, extremely loud exhausts, body kids, etc. They're just trying to look cool, but not all of us are like that. But there is a reason they choose Hondas. CRXs, Civics, S2000s, and others were really popular race cars in the SCCA because of their awesome handling. These kids try to pretend they're racers and look cool and whatnot.

Hey i know exactly what you mean. i once got beat by a turbo civic si once. it didnt have none of the things you mentioned, it wasent even lowered. it looked pretty cool. its just not my style, i grew up with v8s and muscle cars are my favorite cars. but hey, i am looking to buy a civic as a matter in fact! im sick of pumping too much gas, i realized that at my age(20) wanting to built a v8 is pointless if i dont have a daily driver. so thats why i am looking for a honda! i like the 2005 civics, pretty simple looking.
