Hi all,

I'm from exotic Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I own a small carwash business and planning on turning it to an auto detailing shop.

Recently, I bought a PC 7424XP from the store and I am loving it. I hope I can learn more stuff here, as well as making a few friends.

Scratches I cant remove (IDK if you guy could see this). Using LC CCS Yellow pad + meguiars m105 (i think). Any idea how to remove these?

AGO store, I had to import it myself (quite easy and cheaper). No one sells this DA (in M'sia) as it runs on 110v. I still had to buy a step down converter, costs about RM150 from Jalan Pasar.

You can get a meguairs DA G110v2 (i think), but that one costs about RM1500++ for machine ONLY. No backing plate, foam pads or anything. For comparision I get PC set from AGO for around RM1000 (inc shipping + import duty) with 5 foam pads + backing plate!

Eih, that is odd because I visited Meguair's HQ in Subang last weekend, they selling the G220V2 at RM1650 with kit (2 foam pads, 1 backing plate, 1 compound liquid, bag, apron).
But your PC7424XP is definitely a bargain price, including shipping and import duty tax just RM1000!
If I am not mistaken the shipping fee is about half the price of the product, right?

There is a local shop in Johor selling PC now. But you know how much it cost?

Yeah I saw that. RM 2k...what a ripoff! For you guys in the states that's around USD600.

I need to restate, cost of importing is around RM1400 nett. PC is definately worth the cost, but you void warranty so that is one downside you must consider.

My friend uses Flex DA, and he loves it. He saw me using PC and he was like "where did you get this?" Love the expression on his face.

Btw, you can get lake country pads here in M'sia. Google osren, but their stock is limited.

Hey guys, wanna ask for advice on getting step-down converter. Should a PC7424XP uses a 500w or 750w? Read around and saw some car guys in Aus & UK which have 230V as us, and their choice of converters are either these two. Any experience on the converter watt?

The PC is a great tool. I like to use the Nanoskin Autoscrub with it, wet sand paint, sand and buff headlights with a 3" backing plate. Carpet cleaning. Buff, polish and apply LSP with it etc...
