Decided to jump in and try to correct the swirls and water spots in my 2008 silverado. I decided to de-badge the truck before polishing to clean things up a little. I don't think it has ever been waxed, clayed, or polished. I found out quickly that my Griot's Machine Polish #3 and 6" orange cutting pad on a GG DA was not enough to knock out the defects quickly.
Here is a quick shot of the swirls and staining from the lettering.

I did just the bed and was able to get decent results with several passes and applied KSG after.

The paint looks and feels so much better. It sounded like I was sanding the paint when I was claying.
Do you think M105 with an orange pad followed with a fine polish would achieve better results? The cab is much worse than the bed was so I want something to cut faster.
