this probably wont help you much, but i think home dept is where we got ours. they are made of a yellow metal frame and come in a big plastic carrying/transportation case with handle. i suggest them. sorry i dont have any other details =(

Its a start thanks. Does anyone know if watts matter?

goto home depot. 2 500 watt halogens with stand $24.95 (workforce brand)

You can get 2 500W lights on a stand from Sears for 30 stand is Not the best but for light use works great and they run deals every now and then so u can get it for 20

:iagree: Those are the once I purchased, they work great...I think I need another one though. Not sure if 2-1000 Watt's would make a diference, perhaps some but for me 2-500 Watt's is good enough....oh yea most hard ware stores have them, Hope Depot seems to be the most popular.

You will not find a twin 1000 watt lamp unit.
It would be about 17 amps and would have to have different cord end cap on it that would not fit in 99% of the receptacles in your house.

Get a Sunday paper and look at the ad's

Sorry, my bad...there is a single 1000 watt lamp, that's the one I was talking about.

Thank you for correcting me Stittville Ed.

Get the dual 500 watt unit.
You can get replacement lamps for like $1 at Harbor Freight, if they have one in your area.
I just don't like all the heat from them.

I found mine at WalMart a couple nights ago. 30 bucks. 2 500watt with stand. Works great. There's a little tab on each light frame that keeps them from pointing down too far. Flatten it with pliers and you can aim the lights almost straight down.
