A friend of mine was doing some mechanical work on this truck and posted a picture of it. I was in shock when I saw the condition of the paint on and messaged him about seeing if the owner would be interested in have the paint corrected on it. After going to my buddies shop to do a little test spot on the vehicle the owner decided he would like to have it done. This truck has led a rough life being used as a shop/work truck for the last several years. The owner however recently picked up another truck for this purpose and wanted to have this back looking respectable like it should and is considering selling it. At this point it received a multi stage paint correction and quick engine compartment detail.

On to the pictures.

Wash & Decon Process
I started the process cleaning the wheels which were just powder coated black. The wheels were cleaning using Megs APC and the tires were cleaned using Tuf-Shine.

The vehicle was then treated with IronX before being foamed.

After being washed it was wash a final time using my Nanoskin Wash Mit. The horizontal panels on this entire vehicle felt like sandpaper. It took me almost 45 minutes with the Nanoskin to get these panels clean and smooth.

All the machines were going to get a workout on this vehicle.

Wow! What a transformation my friend, looks outstanding!

Great work Kevin. GG correction cream and megs MF pads left that much marring on the 50/50 with Hyper polish?

That was the Fast Correcting Cream, which is a fairly aggressive compound and I was only getting this type of marring with the Megs MF pads on my G21. I was also using the Griots MF pads on my Rupes 15 and that was finishing much nicer then the 21 with Megs pads. In both cases however the final polish with Hyper Polish made a big different in bring out more gloss.

Truck looks great now.

If you think that SRT looked bad you should have seen the Black Quad cab we bought that only had 60,000 miles on it. It would have made your customers truck look like it was babied in comparison.
