how do you guys polish clear plastic, such as instrument gauges?

It seems the more you polish, the more swirled it gets

One of the most difficult things to polish. The thing is not to get it scratched in the first place. Never dry wipe, always use a damp mf towel.

yeah man. Clear plastic isn't like paint.
It's hard but swirls easily !

If there's one thing that bugs me, it's the OEM plastic door visors on my Element. It seems like they get scratched just looking at them!

•I can think of no better way to have the best access to polish this plastic cover...than when it's removed from the vehicle's instrument-panel cluster assembly.

•There's probably a "how-to video" on youtube, or a Step-by-Step from a Chilton-online website, for doing this removal project that's specific to your vehicle.

•Meguiar's #'s 10, 17, and 18...are good
plastic-care products for this task.
