I tried two 6" foam pads. I think $5-$6 each. They came apart during the 2nd use. BAD DEAL!

I've used a lot of these on my Flex 3401s and they're hit or miss for sure. It seems the foam holds up well but the velcro type material is quite inferior. I've had the velcro type material itself degrade and embed into the hook material on my Flex backing plates. This causes some troubles with the strength of attachment until cleaned out thoroughly which is somewhat difficult to do.

I've used them on my Griot polisher and they work pretty well for the money. You can get them on sale for like $3.99 and I stock up on them. At that price I don't clean or try to wash them, it is one use and toss out. Maybe that is why they work well for me. If I paid ten or 12 dollars for a pad I would want to use it a few times but not these. I use the black for finish work and the blue for polish. Sometimes I polish or wax by hand and they also work well with this:

Meguiars Unigrit Professional Hand Pad, hand backup pad, hand polishing pad

I have found that they work fine if used with a 5 "LC backing plate.
The velcro fits the backing plate, I have used both hydro-tech pads and
HF

I wouldn't take the chance using them on my paint when I can get a high quality B&S 5.5" pad for just $2.00 more that I can use over and over.

I use them all the time, but throw them away when done. They have never let me down.

I've only used the HF pads a few times but without any problems

Last time I used one was working with a local high end detailer. It fell apart so bad (black Lexus 460) that it looked like it was freaking snowing in the garage! I asked him what else he had and he gave me a crud filled and crusty orange CCS.

Next time I needed a pad I took my own! ;)

I've done at least one full correction with the HF pads without an issue. They performed as intended. I purchased several of each color when they were $3.99 each at the beginning of the year.
