Has anyone used Preval sprayers?

I plan on adding Headlight restoration with the option of reclearing headlights with UV clear coat from (TcpGlobal my local jobber or SPI Polyurethanes) and I was wondering if anyone has used the Preval for a HL restoration or any small job.

I have used them on small jobs like door handles and mirrors. I'm an automotive painter by trade, but switched to owning my own detailing business.

The preval is nice, it sprays a fine pattern and is usually cost effective. I'm not sure how well it would spray UV clear, as its really thick. I'd say give it a shot and see what happens.

You have to clean right away with lacquer thinner as they clog easily and filter your paint as the pick-up screen is very fine.

Awesome. Thanks for the input...I think I'll give it a shot...I'll probably reduce it a bit more, since I've talkled to the tech guys at SPI about it.

Ahhhh. Good call. Can I get away using Paint Thinner? I would assume they would do the same job to clean up the left over & The owner of Preval told me to toss the Preval Filter...Lol

Paint thinner never worked for me. Lacquer thinner and spray until clear thinner comes out of the sprayer.

After:

Wetsanded with 800. I used the Preval with ACME Finish 1 FC470 high solids clear with a medium hardner. Mixed 2oz clear 0.5oz hardener. Success! Takes a link time to get used to how it sprays.
