Needed a mobile wash ‘solution’ to move between the 3 bldgs we occupy in the industrial park where we’re located. We do regular maintenance & periodic repairs on our ‘fixed’ pressure washers so need something to easily and quickly roll in to avoid downtime. Also comes in handy to create product/procedure content while not interrupting daily operations (i.e. staying out of other people’s way)

This cart is a real tank and the pneumatic wheels are the star of the show, rolls over any surface….concrete, gravel or grass. With Quick Disconnects at *every* connection from hose bib to spray gun, setup or swapping in new components is a breeze. Cart structure (injection molded plastic maybe?) is plenty thick & solid enough that reel & Kobrajet hose is very secure; will be bolting a CR Spotless to end of cart soon (they just released models with integrated bypass so we’ll get to see how that works)

Fun stuff; I was a bit skeptical at first, loading/bolting all of that to plastic cart seemed a bit optimistic but after using for a while now, it really works well.

Simple yet effective. I love it. How do you like that new active pressure washer?

I have always loved this concept, ideal for those who want something quick and convenient but don't have the ability to do a wall mount. Obviously, you still have to plug in the power and water, but having a reel and quality hose with decent length is half the struggle solved.

Not mine, but something I like the look of....................

Only 2 weeks or so in with it but so far, so good! One of the things that appeals about Active is their support; they have YouTube libraries for their Active 2.0 and Active 2.3 models which outline a few basic issues/fixes. We're also testing the Active 2.0 and so far it's pretty nice. Pressure washers seem to have 3 levels:
  • Sub-$200 which are essentially disposable after 2 or 3 years
  • $350 range; better specs (usually GPM) and a predicted service life of 200 hours or so
  • $600 and up which usually means serviceable units with great specs and longer useful lifespans (partly due to the ability to replace parts that wear out)

I have a SunJoe at home and consider that disposable. In the lower ranges, even a 200hr lifespan model will get you pretty far figuring about 10 minutes of trigger time per wash and even that might be a little over-stated.

We're running AR Blue AR630's in all of our operations locations and those things, especially in satellite dealer locations, get USED A LOT so important to be able to perform periodic maintenance/fixes. Oil changes, water seals, valves, TSS switches, oil seals...all not really a big deal & quick to replace now after initial "You want me to do WHAT?!?!"

This cart is also handy to test repaired AR Blue units before sending back to their 'homes'; Quick Disconnects make that a easy process. One thing we still want to address is getting some pneumatic casters/wheels with wheel locks on them as the world is not always level!

What I could see handy about this in my garage is having all maintenance chems at hand as opposed to getting them out of the cabinet and then putting them back each wash...that's always a PITA. I'd get a smaller cart, though...this one is a 26" x 36" top/shelf size...not sure I need that much. We wanted to make sure this one would fit through a normal sized door.

Just when I think I got my garage 'in order'

What brand is the cart? Do you know the source it was ordered from? I like the wheels for rolling over uneven surfaces.

I have been looking at the Kobalt work cart at Lowes recently, but I am not sure about having anything mounted on the top deck

I would want to have a place to lay out machines, liquids, towels, etc when you are doing paint corrections

Great to see these various rigs though, you can really get some good ideas

U-Line… although if you ever order anything from them, you’ll periodically receive printed catalogs in the mail until the end of time

The pneumatic wheels essentially double the price of the cart compared to the same one w ‘conventional’ casters ($140vs $310) I believe.

Rollin’ smooth ain’t cheap!
