PUT THAT $#*+ IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!!

Since I've been on this forum, I've seen a couple guys have issues with BFWD separating and despite all the shaking in the world, it just wouldn't thicken.

I've had the same bottle for a little over a year, I guess the last formula before they got bought out. Even after sitting in my car with crazy heat and frigid cold, never had this issue once. But all good things must come to an end and I used the last of it on a previous car.

I opened up this new bottle I got about a month ago and I just couldn't get it to mix no matter what I did. I thought at one point I was going to break the bottle I was shaking it so hard. It was about 100 degrees outside and probably 85-90 in the shop I was working at. It still went on the car just fine with the Flex and a jeweling pad but I was worried about how it may work a few months from now.

Got home this afternoon and thought that maybe if I cooled it down, the polymers would calm and blend back together like it should. So I put the bottle in the fridge for a couple hours while I got some burgers on the grill. Came back and gave it a shake for no more than 5 seconds.

IT WORKED. Thick as a milkshake and consistent as your grandma's yogurt.

Checked the bottle again after allowing it to warm back up to room temperature and still thick and consistent.

Pass it on :)

My total eclipse tire spray is already separated and I've only had it for a few months. I shake it before use. The next time I grab for it its already separated again.

Thanks for the tip. I've never had a problem getting it to mix but if I do, I'll try it. :xyxthumbs:

That's a great tip and sometimes the simplest of solutions is the best fix!! :props: :props:

Here's another solution if you have one of these and a spare cup or two...

Same thing happened to me and I simply used a Magic Bullet and blended the separated BFWD... a light blue whipped cream textured sealant results... it applies beautifully by hand or DA

Good thinking, but I'm not sure if you can use that for food after having a sealant in it. My wife has a couple of them and I'd be devastated without my "margarita machines" ;)

Yeah, I didn't even think of using the cup for food after. I purchased spare cups and two blades (bottoms) specifically for that purpose. They're readily available on eBay for reasonable prices. It's a completely enclosed system so no worries about contamination of food/drink.
I just try to mix just what I need so that there's less product to rinse/wash out when I'm done.
