I am using Poorboys Super Slick Car Shampoo and i am having trouble keeping the suds up in the bucket and on my microfiber wash mitt. It seems that when i fill the bucket there is alot of suds, but when i apply the mitt to the veihicle the suds disappear very quickly. Could this be due to the city water i'm using or am i not using enough shampoo?

Thats the way all Car Wash soaps act. It doesn't stop the cleaning agents from working though

As long as your wash is lubricating and cleaning, suds should be a secondary consideration. IMO the suds would be more important if you were foaming the car, as you'd want more hang time and whatever mechanical action the breaking bubbles gives you.

I was using that one too, it's not exactly the sudsy-est product on the market.

Try Megs Shampoo Plus. It has not only more suds but it leaves the paint looking and feeling like you waxed it. I'm now on my second gallon now and love it. My non-detailing neighbor couldn't believe how good it made his Vette look when I let him try it.
But yes, they all lose some suds near the end, but the Megs still has more.
