I did alot of research online and on this website. I bought a 7424, wool pads, and some wolfgang aluminum compound to clean up my aluminum toolbox which has been neglected for almost 3 years. Now ive tried a couple times and havent got much done with the buffer. It seems like i get more of the oxidation and stains off by hand which doenst make sense to me since the buffer can move so much faster than my hand. Ive watched some videos and they make it look so easy, what could i be doing wrong? any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Tom

metal polishing is a pain .. I do it often enough on my uncoated wheels. Here is what works for me.

1. Clean area first
2. Use P21S Polishing Soap to remove most tarnish (it will make wheels/items look kinda milky)
3. Powerpolish with a tool like Mothers Powerball with two different metal polishes (abrasive then finishing polish for metals)
4. Coat with a Sealant

same logic should apply to your items.
