Taped up the paint around the headlight and went to work sanding with 1000,1500,2000 then to finish 3000 grit.

Cleaned the residue with off with Alcohol wipe down.

Applied the Spar Urethane recipe and here are the results.

The customer was very happy.

Look's great,I've used the same method on my wife's 95 windstar headlight's!!!

Great work I did some headlight restorations a little different though I wet sanded with 1000 grit followed by 2000 grit then used M105 with my Griots ROP and looks brand new. I'm do my girlfriends next soon and take before and afters.

Is this spar urethane recipe the one with the thread that has a million comments on it? How do you make it?

Just 2 quick questions for this!

How do you do the alcohol wipe down?

And what is the spar urethane thing you were talking about?

Sorry for the questions, I am very noobish to headlight restoration and just trying to figure it out.

Thank you! - Chris
