This is my friend's 2002 Hyundai Elantra he just bought. Passenger side light was in far worse condition than the driver's.

Used a mash up of products from a 3M restoration kit, Meg's Ultimate Polish and Scratchx (more to see what how they'd do on the plastic than anything), and finally 3M Rubbing Compound.

Thanks!

On a side note, I'm always jealous when I see your avatar. I've got an '05 S60 T5 and love it! It's my 3rd Volvo (850, then an S70 GLT, now this). But I've always wanted an R model. *drool*

did you seal the headlights

Not strictly, no. I coated them with Meguiar's Headlight Protectant. Probably won't last long, but it'll be part of my little experiment I have going on between (now) 3 cars. I'm reapplying it every week to my wife's car's lights, every month on my MIL's car's lights, and now this new car will be the one time application. All cars are parked outside 100%.

Very nice!!! How did you do the before-after in the same image?

Thanks! I used Picasion I think… I always just google "gif maker" and chose whatever looks good at the time, hehe. The hard part is matching the cropping if you can't have the tripod in the same place between pics.
